Which should you use, fair or fare? One meaning of the adjective fair is reasonable and morally right. The verb fare is used for saying how well or how badly someone does something.

Incorrect: Life is not fare.
Correct: Life is not fair.
Incorrect: We did not fair well against the other teams.
Correct: We did not fare well against the other teams.
